The Iowa Safety Net Pharmacy puts free and low cost medications directly in the hands of patients in need. As a non-profit safety net pharmacy, we have brought several national and regional safety net programs under one roof to qualify patients for assistance. Often, a patient will qualify for multiple safety net medication programs — however each program has a limited prescription formulary and a unique set of qualifications. Managing all of these medication programs can be an administrative nightmare for a patient, clinic or pharmacy. Let us do it for you! We fill prescriptions from a portfolio of safety net programs to leverage limited resources in the most effective manner possible.
The prescriptions are filled at our pharmacy in Des Moines and then shipped directly to patient’s residence.
30-day prescriptions
— 1st prescription = $10.00
— Additional prescriptions = $3.00
90-day prescriptions
— 1st prescription = $20.00
— Additional prescriptions = $6.00
These prices are based on availability of the medication. If a specific medication needs to be ordered, there may be a small additional fee added on to these prices.

Patients in need of prescription assistance, please fill out a Pharmacy Patient Application and view our Notice of Privacy Practices. Completed forms can be sent to pharmacy@safenetrx.org. Please contact us at 515-276-0066 to have your prescriptions transferred or filled.
