LOG-IN Here to Order Medications

Iowans in need of assistance can receive medications and medical supplies for little or no cost. Donations are received from long-term care dispensing pharmacies, retail pharmacies, health providers, and individuals. The medications and supplies are inspected by a pharmacist, distributed to medical providers or pharmacies, and dispensed to Iowans in need.

Eligibility: Iowans at or below 200% of the federal poverty level as well as individuals who are uninsured or under-insured are eligible to receive donated drugs. Any organization or individual in the country can donate medications in their original sealed container or in tamper-evident packaging. Any pharmacy or medical facility with authorization to dispense per State of Iowa administrative rules may re-dispense donated medications.

How to Participate: If you would like to donate medications or sign up your medical facility or pharmacy to dispense donated medications and supplies please contact our office at 1-866-282-5817.

If you are patient interested in receiving donated medications ask your local health provider or pharmacy if they participate in the Drug Donation Repository Program. If your health provider or pharmacy does not participate as a local repository, please call our office and we can discuss other options to help you access low-cost medications.

The Iowa Drug Donation Repository Program is made possible through a partnership with the Iowa Department of Public Health and the Iowa Collaborative Safety Net Provider Network. The program was established per Iowa Code 135M.4 and operates under Iowa Administrative Code 641-Chapter 109.Infographic combo
